Raghupathi Cavale is the founding Director of MILES – (Manipal Centre for Innovation Leadership and Entrepreneurship), a school established at MAHE-Bengaluru to focus on creating a culture of innovation and helping start-ups in their journey through a formal system. He is the India Mentor for FalconX, a US-based incubator aiding startups in their cross-border journey, and advises the Global Environment Fund, South Asia on digital investments. Raghu also advises a major telecom company on their cloud business and serves on the advisory boards of several startups in geospatial technology and software performance management. Raghu is on the Board of GITA-Global Innovation and Technology Alliance, a CII-Government of India company, and INCLEN (International Clinical Epidemiological Network). Previously, he was the Senior Advisor at Infosys Ltd until September 2022, having retired as the Senior VP and Head of India Business in September 2021. Geetha Krishnan holds a master's degree from the IIM Bangalore and a doctorate in Strategy and Entrepreneurship from the IIM Indore. With over 30 years of experience in advertising, online learning, and management education, he has held senior leadership roles, including at Tata Interactive Systems (2000-2009) and the Indian School of Business (2009-2016). At ISB, he managed the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women entrepreneurship program, benefiting nearly 1,500 women. Karthik Vidyasagar General Partner, Odele

Karthik Vidyasagar, born in Vijayawada and raised in Hyderabad, completed his education at the Hyderabad Public School in 1993 and graduated in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Madras in 1997. In the United States, he worked with a Berkshire Hathaway portfolio company, a career that spanned a decade, during which he played key roles in major acquisitions including NetJets, Mid-American Energy, Fruit of the Loom, and The Pampered Chef. In 2009, he became Head of Mergers and Acquisitions at Cheung Kong Hutchison Holdings in Hong Kong, overseeing operations in Mainland China and Southeast Asia until 2018. How do I apply for Manipal Academy of Higher Education’s online programs? 

After deciding upon the program of your choice, application can be submitted online at www.mahe.onlinemanipal.com.

Once you provide the basic details, you can pay your application fee of INR 1500 (non-refundable) and provide necessary education and work experience details. Pay the admission fee for either one semester/year or full program fee.

To complete the admission process, you need to upload relevant documents. Once they are approved by the university, your admission process will be complete.

What is the selection process?

  • Complete the application form by paying the application fee of INR 1500 (non-refundable) and filling in your basic details, education details, and work experience.
  • Submit the application by paying the semester fee and uploading documents required to validate your education, work experience, and other details.
  • Upon successful submission, your application for the online program will be evaluated by the Admissions team of Manipal Academy of Higher Education. In case the university requires further clarification on your eligibility documents, you will be intimated via email.
  • You will get to know the status of your admission within 5-7 working days after submitting the application.
    Once a decision is taken on the application, the admissions team will intimate the candidate via email on the status of their admission.

If I am eligible for a scholarship and also pay the entire fee upfront, can I avail both the scholarship and the fee concession (for full payment)?

Yes. All learners who pay the full program fee upfront can avail 5% fee concession on total program fee upon approval. In addition to the fee concession, if a learner is eligible for a scholarship, he/she can avail the same. The scholarship amount will be calculated on the total program fee.

How will scholarships be processed for eligible candidates?

Once a candidate’s scholarship is approved during admission, the scholarship benefit shall be applied as per the below table-

Thereafter, from Semester – 3, the current semester scholarship benefit shall be applicable.

Manipal Academy of Higher Education follows UGC regulations for refund of course fee.

  • 15 days or more, before the formally-notified last date of admission – 100% refund*
  • Less than 15 days before the formally-notified last date of admission – 90% refund
  • 15 days or less, after the formally-notified last date of admission – 80% refund
  • 30 days or less, but more than 15 days after the formally-notified last date of admission – 50% Refund
  • More than 30 days after the formally-notified last date of admission – No Refund

What is the pedagogy for the program?

The pedagogy for this program requires participants to attend live synchronous classes. This includes identifying investors’ expectations and wants, finding the appropriate investor, creating a compelling business plan and pitch deck, selecting the right fund-raising instruments, and achieving a win-win valuation. Mastering these elements is essential for securing successful investment.
  • Operationalizing your venture
    Building a successful enterprise involves focusing on the specific needs of start-up entrepreneurs rather than just relying on functional knowledge. This ensures a robust and adaptable foundation for the business. Key components include understanding financial metrics, corporate governance, risk and compliance, sales, marketing, branding, PR, and organization-building.
